Joshua 6:1-3 “1Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
2And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.
3And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.”

Psalms 34:1 “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

“Your praise is about to open what has been shut up”

I. Praise is Rooted in a Personal Experience of What God is to You and What HE Has Done for You
a. For that to come to a place of credibility, it takes “experience”
i. It take opposition
ii. It takes adversity
iii. It takes a created tension causing your faith to function

II. The Quality and Character of a Man is Discovered in His Ability to handle “Challenge”
a. Satan wants to break you down so that you don’t represent God

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

III. Real Praise is NOT Public
a. Real praise is very personal
b. It’s almost too private to do in public
c. It is intimate, a place of vulnerability where you are unashamed because of the covenant you have with God

IV. Real Praise
a. Is what you do when you walk into the 1st home anyone in your family linage has ever owned
b. It’s your child who graduates college even after you dropped out of high school
i. Not the cute kind of stuff we do in public, but a deep heart felt release of who God is us and what HE has done for us.

V. Remembering God’s Acts are Critical
a. Reason for creation= God wanted to reveal Himself
i. Out of the ground of “being” comes (logos) and out of “Abyss” God brings forth EVERYTHING
b. God wanted to reveal His power and provision
i. He orchestrates six (6) days of creating and one (1) day of rest and establishes a cycle
1. The 7th day cycle is the basis of Israel Worship

“The Intention for “Being” is to “Praise” Him

VI. If He Doesn’t Get the 7th Day Accolade It Delays the Cycle
a. The number seven (7) is the number of Completion
b. The number eight (8) is the number of New Beginnings

VII. Praise Always Produces
a. He labors and then reflects
b. When you praise God, you then reflect and then expect
i. Expectation= to have anticipation with hope
ii. Expectation= is a chord like attachment that binds you to your future
1. It is based on what God has revealed to you
2. It brings some things to and end and opens some thing else to begin

God says, “If I bring it to an end, don’t complain, but PRAISE! Praise me and that will release me to do the new thing.

a. Complainers= Remain
b. Praisers= Get Raised

VIII. Do Not Complain About Who and What HE Dismisses From Your Destiny
a. He not only knows what you need but who you need
b. Before God gives direction, He dismisses potential distracters
c. He dismisses those who cant go where you are going
d. He doesn’t ask YOU how HE should handle them

1 John 2:19 “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

IX. If They Left, Let Them GO
a. Your destiny is never tied to anyone or anything that left your life
b. People leave because they are not joined to you
c. They are not bad people, it just means their story is over

X. It’s Not About What You Deserve
a. Its about His grace= “thanks”
b. Its about His loving kindness
i. Whenever God does something for you that you don’t deserve and you begin to praise him= Something gets produced

XI. God Does Not Allow Himself to be Observable, But Rather “Experienced”
a. We have to re-create concepts in our life as things change around you

Example: Abraham and Sara
b. 25 years they waited on a promise that he would be the “Father of Many Nations”
i. Sara was barren
ii. Abraham was old
iii. Sara was past her old age with menopause
1. God gives them Isaac!!

Now What Happens When the Same God says: “Kill Isaac”?
a. God had to “re-create” a concept
b. God is trying to move him into the revelation of= Jehovah Jirah

XII. There Must Be a Relationship Between Faith and Praise
a. Not praising God out of what you see
b. But what has been revealed
c. The spiritual entity to your praise is = Faith

Psalms 8:1-2 “1O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
2Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.”

Praise Silences the Enemy

Acts 16:25 “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.”

Praise Breaks You Out of Prison

1 Samuel Chapter 1
1 Samuel Chapter 2

Hannah
a. she gets pregnant 5x

Judges 1:1-4 “1Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?  2And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.  3And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.  4And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand: and they slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men.”

Joshua
a. advanced the children of Israel from the wilderness to the Promise
b. Now he is dead, and the people are stalled
c. They still have to move into inheritance
d. The Canaanites had already been disjointed by Joshua’s leadership

Notice what happens…..

XIII. There is a Transition of leadership from a “man” to a “tribe”
a. When they ask God what to do=He responds, “First send Judah”
b. Get the people with a praise on the front-line
c. Because First= Opening or commitment
a. Open= Being in position to permit passage
b. To remove an obstruction
c. To be moved from a closed position

XV. The First Opens the Way to the Rest
a. Your praise penetrates for your family, your church
b. Judah= Praise= It opens heaven

X. Voice Activation
a. Recognizes your voice= Gives you access
b. It’s only your voice that can open it
