Missions in the United States
Immediately following the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, Paula White Ministries joined with Bishop T.D. Jakes and The Potters House in funding various Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, including providing food, toiletries, clothing, transportation, and other desperately needed supplies. Paula White Ministries continues to work with pastors in New Orleans and the Southern states, helping with finances and supplies to rebuild the devastated areas.
With the help of her friends and partners, Paula held The 16th Annual
"Table in the Wilderness" Thanksgiving feeding outreach. The initiative provided a food-box with "the fixings for a week’s worth of meals" to over 17,000 men, women and children. This year the event also held a raffle, giving away a brand-new car to a single-mom!
Recently, Paula White Ministries partnered with Team Colorado and Forever Free Ministries in rebuilding lives and communities, by offering a four-day Christian Sports Camp in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Pass Christian was one of the Gulf coast communities completely leveled and destroyed by Katrina; Team Colorado realized the need to bring God’s healing and restoration to over 200 children and families who, with summer right around the corner, had nowhere to play. The Sports Camp was developed in coordination with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and area public schools and the Boys and Girls Club of America.
Since 1977 The Spring of Tampa Bay has provided sanctuary and services to more than 28,000 abused adults and children, and is the largest of Florida’s certified domestic violence shelters. With the vision to be a premier provider of domestic violence services and a positive force for social change, The Spring was created with the realization that, in order to successfully eliminate domestic violence, a prevention organization must provide services for every member of the family. Since two of every three beds in the emergency shelter are occupied by children, The Spring opened the nation’s first public school located in a domestic violence shelter. Other services include a NAEYC accredited childcare center and 24-hour Crisis Hotline, transitional housing, legal services, counseling and case management, community education and professional training, legal services, and victim outreach and juvenile intervention programs. Paula White Ministries is an annual supporter of The Spring’s mission, “To Prevent, Protect, and Change.”
Paula White Ministries stands with and supports the efforts of Fruit of Glories Ministries. Under the leadership of physician Dr. Sydel LeGrande, Fruit of Glory Ministries offers an array of services to thousands in Central Florida. Among them are Operation Med-Care and Operation Restoration. Operation Med-Care provides medical care to anyone in need, regardless of their ability to pay, and runs an inner city medical center in Tampa, Florida called Your Place Medical. Your Place is located within a low-income public housing complex, where an apartment has been transformed into a medical center—offering the 900+ residents comprehensive healthcare ‘in their own back yard. Fruit of Glory uses medical care as a "tool for the harvest": the love of Christ is shown and shared through meeting the medical needs of those serviced. In addition, Operation Med-Care links traveling health professionals to areas in need around the country through Fruit of Glory Ministries’ outreach. Operation Restoration is the social service component, with a focus on helping families deal with life and its stressors. Services include counseling, group and individual health education programs, health fairs, and community events within the communities served.
Paula White Ministries regularly supports Dove Morgan-Osborne and Loving Hearts Ministry’s mission, "Bringing victory to Prisoners and Their Families." Loving Hearts travels throughout the country’s prisons, churches and bike rallies to share the Gospel and offer a voice for those who are imprisoned. Loving Hearts also publishes the magazine "Prison Victory", created to help "people gain victory on the inside, and prepare them for the outside."
