July 14, 2008Posted by Paula White - Mon, July 14, 2008 at 03:01 AM Summer has always felt like a family season to me—with the kids out of school, barbecue weather and family vacations, it’s a time to be together with those we love. Relaxing and spending time with loved ones reminds us that each day is a gift from God; I am reminded daily to be thankful for those times, especially since the passing of our daughter Kristen. Kristen was a light in our lives and I miss her every day. I am grateful for the years spent raising her with Randy. When a stepdaughter becomes part of your family at the age of eight, she really does become a daughter. I hold all my loved ones even closer now, and remember that God holds us all in his strong Hands, whether we are here doing his earthly work or with him in Heaven. Thank you for your continued prayers for our family. I said I’d be telling you more about The Epicenter: a Place for Life—it’s such a unique ministry. Our work at the Epicenter in San Antonio is bringing God to people in many different ways. Sunday’s Life by Design service at the Epicenter is part of the offerings—and it was such an uplifting time in His presence. The real power of God is released when you experience it in a personal way, and with our group of ministers bringing the community together in different ways, The Epicenter provides that experience. I’m glad that Life by Design fits in so well. The Epicenter is meant to be a conduit for activating the power of Jesus Christ in a person’s life—to help equip, enrich and empower people to live in the abundance of life that Jesus Christ came to provide for us. That abundance means family life, health, spiritual wellbeing, work, purpose, financial security—just about every aspect of life. We think this ministry collaboration is a new ministry model that will reach more people with the Word—and we hope to bring the Epicenter to other cities in the future. Our next event this month is coming up soon. Minister-songwriter Pastor Shirley Caesar has invited me to participate in her Outreach Ministry’s 36th Annual Conference in North Carolina. The conference is themed “Wilt Thou Be Made Whole” and will be held on the July 18th at the Winston-Salem Coliseum Annex. If you’re in the area stop by, the doors open at 6:00pm and the conference is open to the public. More to come—I’ll be wrapping up July’s events with Bishop Noel Jones at the City of Refuge in Gardena, Calif. on July 24-25. Hope to see you there! You’re in my thoughts and prayers. Love, PS. Please be sure to watch Behind the Scenes on TBN July 24—I’ll be on with Paul Crouch, Jr. Share This!
