Psalms 29:2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Exodus 25:8-9 (NIV) Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. 9 Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you. Psalms 132:9-4 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy. For thy servant David’s sake turn not away the face of thine anointed. The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore. I. Identify Your Worship Psalms 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. d. God’s throne is as significant as you want to make it through your praise Romans 12:1 (NIV) Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. i. True worship is born when true sacrifice occurs Exodus 20:3 (NIV) You shall have no other gods before me. g. Worship = weorthscype = scip/ship Isaiah 48:10-11 (NIV) See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another. h. True worship produces inspiration and generates enthusiasm and passion (regardless of situations or circumstances) II. Let’s Examine the Characteristics of Inspiring Worship Philippians 3:3 (NIV) For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh Matthew 15:8-9 (NIV) These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men a.
