The story of Alexandria Prescott (“Allie”) Knox initially became known through Fox 13’s “What’s Right with Tampa” with Kelly Ring.

Tracy Knox (father) and Stephanie Knox (mother) shared with PWM that Allie suffered from “mitochondria” – a disease thought to be at the root of diseases such as cerebral palsy, MS, and muscular dystrophy – however, unfortunately doctors knew very little about it.

Allie had this condition, and suffered from complications from it, since birth -- but it became full-blown 4 years ago. The disease continued to progress to life-threatening conditions.

When Pastor Paula heard Allie was a big Kenny Chesney fan, she arranged Kenny Chesney concert tickets for Allie and her family. Though extremely ill and weak, Allie was able to go the concert with her family. Even though the family (including Allie’s 13-year old sister Danielle) was only able to stay 2 hours before Allie’s condition forced her to leave, her parents said she was able to hear an hour of Kenny’s performance -- which brought her so much joy! Said her mom, Stephanie afterward, “This night helped create really great memories for us.”

Allie was in St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa for the last several weeks. PWM prayer warriors visited Allie daily with love gifts and support.

Through the efforts of PWM friend Randi Mitchell, two of Allie’s favorite Tampa Bay Buccaneers football players, Carnell “Cadillac” Williams and Michael Clayton visited her, bringing lots of gifts, including a team-autographed football. PWM’s Pat Harrison shared how thrilled Allie was, and how grateful mom Stephanie was.

On Thursday, June 28th, at approximately 9:45am, Allie returned to be with our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven.

Allie's faith and courage were an inspiration to us all. Please continue to pray with Pastor Paula and Paula White Ministries for Allie’s mom (Stephanie), dad (Tracy), Allie's sister Danielle, and all her family and friends. Thank you, PWM Partners, Friends, and Prayer Warriors for your support!
