PWM proudly supports Samson Rajkumar’s Mission in Action, as it brings the love of Christ throughout the regions of Southern India -- through its feeding programs, well-building, medical programs, and Children’s homes…and now, offers life-transforming skills through its new Training Center.
Founded by missionary Samson Rajkumar, Mission in Action has pioneered 103 thriving churches in Southern India, while training and equipping nearly 5000 pastors and church leaders through seminars and Bible-training programs in the last 6 years.
Currently nearly 400 children reside in the seven Mission in Action Children’s Homes throughout the region, receiving daily instruction on Christ, an academic curriculum, and a safe and nurturing environment to live in.
Mission in Action also provides villages with desperately needed clean water via its mobile tanks and well-building projects. Feeding stations throughout the region provide warm meals to families and homeless populations.
Recently, Mission in Action also opened its brand-new Training Center. Says Sampson, “This Training Center will be a place where broken dreams and wounded hearts will be mended with love and compassion…thousands of young men and women will come and discover their full potential and talents. They will find their place in society and have a good future. Those who complete this training will be a testimony for the glory of God.”
The Training Center’s first project has been a Sewing School for abused and impoverished girls and single mothers. The following is the story of one of the students attending:
“Valermathi is an orphan… She never had an opportunity to attend school, only doing housework in her uncle’s home. When she was 13 years old, she was sold into prostitution. Her life went from bad to worse. She was never treated like a human being; she was beaten and abused by many men. During that time she became pregnant… [and]…was kicked out of the prostitution house. Having no place to go, with no job she lived on the street. One day she was planning to end her life…[when]… she heard the words on a loud speaker, “Only Jesus can turn your sorrows into joy.” She went with her baby to the place where the loudspeaker was. There she saw thousands of people…[and]…stood there with tears and listened to the preaching. At the end, she went forward and gave her life to the Lord. Today, Valermathi is a different person. We are helping her and other young women like her to have a good future…[through our] Sewing School for Young Women who were rescued from prostitution and abuse. When they have a trade in sewing, they will be able to get a respectable job and have a future.”
Paula White Ministries is proud to support Mission in Action as it works to provide a better future and the hope of Christ to those in need throughout India. Thank you, Partners and Friends, for making it happen!
