“Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” Psalm 35:27

God does not want us to live in poverty and lack. He has spread a table of wealth and resources from one corner of the globe to another – and yet, these resources are not at the disposal of many of His own children, whom He wants to bless!

He’s placed endlessly natural resources in every country on Earth…but even here in America, where the gnp, or gross national product – a measure of the national average income -- is among the highest in the world, the statistics are troubling:

• 37 million people in the U.S. live in poverty.
• The average American carries $8, 562 in credit card debt.
• 58% of baby boomers have less than $10, 000 at retirement.

How many of you are sitting there right now, thinking “Gee…that’s me!” as you read those statistics? Well, I’ve been in that place as well…but it was the Word of God that delivered me from that place, and if He did it for me, than He can do it for you!

God wants you to have enough money to do what He has called you to do; it is His pleasure to bless you, not only because He loves you, but because He wants to spread that love, and enable you to bless others! He wants you to be prosperous – which means, having wholeness -- in every area of your life: in your health, your family, your career, your finances, and all your relationships. God wants you to have it all!

He wants you to have it all because He loves you…and He needs you – blessed, to bless others…to further the pursuits of His kingdom -- to spread the Gospel and save the many precious souls, that our Lord Jesus Christ died for!

…Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad… (Zechariah 1:17)

“Ok, Paula…so what can I do to start improving my financial situation? How can I prosper in my finances, so that I can bless others, as well?” Well, first you need to pick up your Bible and find out what God’s Word on the subject is.

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power to get wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

First things first: PRIORIZE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD! That’s always paramount. People have an inclination to pray to God when things are bad, but “get comfortable” when things are going well, and not seek Him and His counsel as much, as He warned Moses and the Israelites in the Old Testament:

Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today, lest—when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them; and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; when your heart is lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. (Deuteronomy 8:11-14)

In other words, God wants to bless, you and is going to bless you – as you do your part! So get back into His Word, and make sure you’re fulfilling your end of the covenant promises given to us through Moses.

Additionally, make sure you’re obedient to God’s principles of “Seedtime and Harvest.” In Genesis 8:22 God makes a promise to His children:

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

God’s principles of Seedtime and Harvest are principles that frame our relationship between what we give out…and what we get back. Our harvest in life is based solely on the seeds we have sown. And “sowing” isn’t always financial; “sowing” also encompasses how we give of ourselves and our time – to God first, then to others; how we help those in need, through financial blessing, or by lending a compassionate ear or offering a hug, or how we volunteer our time to a ministry or other good works.

God does, however, expect us to remember Him first when it comes to our financial lives, as well. Our primary financial responsibilities to God come through tithes and offerings, as we are clearly instructed in the Bible:

“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “ If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.” (Malachi 3:8-10)

Does the Lord say that as you follow His decrees He will “bless you a little?” Does He say He’ll “bless you well?” No, He doesn’t…God’s Word say that He will “OPEN THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN AND POUR OUT FOR YOU SUCH BLESSING THAT THERE WILL NOT BE ROOM ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT”!

Now, if that isn’t “having it all,” I don’t know what is! Because God’s way of blessing is through “wholeness” – in your home, family, relationship, career, finances...and that’s truly “having it all!”

So begin to hold fast to the promises given in the Bible. Take these promises seriously, and by faith begin to pray, meditate, and ask God for revelation on how you can possess His promises in your life as you obediently fulfill His decrees. I guarantee you that as you begin to do this, things in your financial situation -- and in the rest of your life, as well -- will begin to change for the better!

Because God really does want you to have it all!
