And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting... . And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

How would your life be different if you experienced what the 120 disciples experienced on the day of Pentecost? The Holy Spirit was poured out upon them, and they were filled or intoxicated with the Spirit. The fact that they were accused of being drunk with wine emphasizes that when the Holy Spirit fills your life, He will affect your speech, your judgment, your vision, your hearing, and your actions. You will be consumed with His character and reflect God in your actions.

You need the Holy Ghost's power to survive as well as thrive! Power to live as God instructs you to live. Power to cast out devils. Power to overcome sin in the middle of a troubled world, in the midst of perilous times. You cannot fight the devil on your own. Receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost is a fundamental step in your spiritual survival.

Spiritual warfare is not a game, and the devil is not someone's innocent puppy. He is the master deceiver, thief, murderer, and the force behind all evil. He is like a roaring lion roaming to and fro, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8–9). He hates every person who names the name of Christ.

However, too many of us try to fight our battles in the flesh. You cannot make it on your own strength. Although God has already defeated the devil at the cross, you must go to war and win the victories in your spiritual life. You can overcome all the hurts and pains of the past and the struggles with sin. Don't be labeled by life—the devil is a liar! God is your weapon, and you can count on Him.

You will face a battle along this great journey in life. Don't let the enemy take advantage of you! You need to saddle up and ride through every storm. Put Satan in his place. Jesus never intended you to bow to the devil. When facing your enemy, you cannot just ask him to leave you alone; demand that he return what he has taken from you. By the power of the Holy Spirit, you have the awesome authority to tell the devil what to do. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Don't limit God with unbelief. Declare with your tongue and see God do the impossible. He still performs miracles and is ready to bring you abundance, health, healing, victory, joy, peace, and security.
