And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
—Habakkuk 2:2–3
You were created by God, destined for great things, but how do you get there? If you ask any Olympian how they became a champion, they will tell you that visualization played a huge part. Before a world-class athlete puts his foot on the track, in the swimming pool, in the ring, or wherever the field of competition may be, he or she sees himself or herself as the declared winner, the victor, the champion. It all starts with a vision.
God told the prophet Habakkuk to watch and see what He was about to do in answer to the prophet’s prayers. God will show you what His will is. Your vision, your destiny, your future is within you. Yes, I said within you. God has deposited in you everything you will ever need to accomplish the dreams and goals that He has for you.
The Word is in you, but for you to know your future, you must know the Word. Wait for the voice of God to open unto you. Then hold on to the Word; it cannot fail you. All you have to do is believe in yourself and believe what God says about you. The flower withers, but His Word remains forever. God never makes mistakes. The devil cannot stop your destiny. To do so, he would have to go back before time and undo what God predestined and foreknew.
There is something huge for you to accomplish through your life, and you can start making steps to achieve it today! Sometimes we are afraid to follow our hopes and dreams because we don’t really believe that we can accomplish them. Through God, nothing is impossible! That means whatever you can dream, you can achieve!
How do you unlock the hidden treasures that God has placed within you? How do you find out what God would have you to do? Spend time with God. Talk to Him! Through prayer, you have full access to God! You can talk to Him about anything, and He will answer you!
Here are three practical steps for you to take. First, write down your vision (goals and dreams). Second, read what you penned aloud three times. Third, speak your vision prophetically with creative faith, expecting it to manifest in its appointed time. Now is no time to give in or give up, but it is time to run with the expectation that God will answer. “Wait for it; because it will surely come.”
