PWM's "Back to School Bash 2007" Touches Children's Lives in North CarolinaThursday, August 2, 2007 Paula White Ministries is partnering with The Outreach Center in Morganton, N.C., for “Back To School Bash 2007,” touching the lives of hundreds of children in this economically depressed region.
Paula White Ministries has regularly supported the Outreach Center in its work, as it serves around 1,200 financially stressed families weekly, through food distribution, clothing, education, nutrition and exercise. In addition to giving out 40,000 pounds of food each week, TOC also provides free adult education, GED preparation, learning-skills training, computer and financial literacy training, and employment skills training. This year’s “Back To School Bash,” will provide backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies, a pair of sneakers, and any additional school supply needs to 350 children. The carnival-style event will also provide games, inflatable rides and attractions, and food and drink to the children and their families.
