Paula White Ministries proudly supports Teen Challenge, now in its 50th year of assisting youth, adults, and families battling addiction issues and emotional problems through its program of faith-based counseling, education and job training world-wide.

Teen Challenge was established in 1958 by Pastor David Wilkerson, and is the oldest, largest and most successful program of its kind in the world, having grown to more than 170 centers in the United States and 250 centers world-wide (its beginnings were documented in the book, and later, Hollywood movie, titled “The Cross and the Switchblade”).

Founded on the belief in God’s ability to change lives, the organization’s faith-based program works to facilitate life transformation for youth and adults battling anger, rebellion, depression, drug use, and other life-endangering attitudes and behaviors—focusing on assisting students in their relationship with God, themselves, and their families. Teen Challenge believes that by providing students with a fresh, God-centered perspective, they will have the opportunity to realize their potential and reach their dreams.

For over 40 years, Teen Challenge “school teams” have gone into schools around the world educating students about the dangers of drugs. “Teen Challenge Rallies,” bring a fresh dynamic and the Word of God to area churches through music, multi-media, and dramatic presentations. The “Stay S.H.A.R.P.” drug prevention program for at-risk youth brings a fast-paced multi-media presentation linked with powerful student testimonies to schools, churches, youth groups and civic organizations. The “Emerging Leaders Program” trains and equips individuals for greater futures of responsibility within the organization.

Through its residential program, students adhere to a daily schedule which includes chapel, Bible classes and work assignments on or near the grounds. Job training for Teen Challenge students occurs on and off-site, along with a community outreach component to assist others-in-need in the community.
