A clarion call has been issued forth to the Body of Christ today to “Prepare ye the way of the Lord..” We are preparing for an unprecedented pouring out of God’s Spirit … like streams in the desert, we are desperate for his refreshing, nurturing and change! God is doing a new thing…we must be ready! Prepare for His presence!

The High Place

We must say “YES” to Him daily. But if we are to do what He wants, then we must hear Him. He is always speaking to us, but sometimes distractions, worries and the flesh clamor louder, drowning out His voice. Fasting, praise and prayer break this rut!

Fasting is the great silencer of the flesh, bringing the whole being into alignment with God, spirit, soul and body. Fasting, praise and prayer helps clear the junk out of our souls, emptying us so that we have room for His presence. His presence at work in us translates us into the “ascended life” – the high place in the Spirit God wants us to walk in… far above every situation or demonic power. The Word says we are seated high in the heavenlies with Christ, far above every principality and power. The Holy Spirit can help you see from God’s perspective on high and help you lay hold on His secret wisdom. We must stay in the “high place” where distractions of the flesh, religion and the enemy cannot go.

Walk in the Spirit

When we walk in the Spirit, the laws of the flesh and religion no longer apply. It is flesh and religion that crucified Christ! Without being in the Spirit, we will hear and feel all the detractors of the Spirit, and they will be anchors chaining us to the ground, keeping us from maturing or advancing. Here are the anchors - detractors of the Spirit:

1. Fear that discourages me
2. Guilt that makes me hopeless
3. Shame that causes me to turn away from the One I love
4. Condemnation - the bitter liar that tells me I am rejected because I have failed

These are the 4 fruits of religion. God never puts any of these things on you. Jesus came to deliver us from all of them! If you have received Jesus Christ the Lord and Messiah as your personal savior, you are free. He makes you FREE! Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is LIBERTY! Don’t let the 4 fruits of religion anchor you to fleshly thinking. Cut off the anchors and walk in the Spirit! God wants you to mature in His love and see from His perspective in the Spirit.

Streams in the Desert

God is leading His Church into unprecedented things, unheard of things which He has revealed to them in their Spirit [1 COR 2:9/10]. He wants to pour out of His Spirit, work miracles and bring a new level of glory to His kingdom on the earth! He is going to make the name of Jesus great once again!

⁷Blind eyes will be opened, deaf ears unstopped,
Lame men and women will leap like deer, the voiceless break into song.
Springs of water will burst out in the wilderness, streams flow in the desert.
Hot sands will become a cool oasis, thirsty ground a splashing fountain.
Even lowly jackals will have water to drink, and barren grasslands flourish richly.
Isaiah 35:5-7 (The Message)

We are in a carnal, fleshly time in which people feel that they can and should live by the natural principles of the flesh. The faith of people in the system of flesh will be shattered and everyone will be desperately searching for something more. We must be ready to give people Christ! This era will come to a close as many look to Jesus Christ and God pours out of His Spirit! He is going to make streams flow in the desert…

People are panting after and thirsting for His living water and they don’t even know it! Humanity today is like a desert – parched, empty and barren. God wants to use us as vessels of honor to bring the living water – Jesus Christ – to the parched, dry souls of the lost! We must prepare in advance for the outpouring of His presence. PREPARE YE THE WAY OF THE LORD!

Isaiah 35:8-10 (The Message)

The greatest demands on us daily are decisions. What you decide today will become the reality of your tomorrow. Paul said “This one thing I do” [PHIL 3:13] and then he mentions 2 things: 1) “Forgetting those things which are behind;” and 2) “and reaching forth unto those things which are before!” We cannot reach forth unto our destiny until we first forget and abandon our past. We cannot embrace the new thing God has for us (Is 43:19) until we forsake the old.

Transitional times are only endured as you understand that there is a removing of created things, that at one time served a purpose, but now must undergo chaos in order to be restructured and enlarged to hold the dream of the future, which is always larger than the accomplishments of the past. We cannot return to the former things. We must press on and reach forward to the new thing about to be released! “PREPARE YE THE WAY OF THE LORD…”

A New Era Coming

We need to be like someone who digs a channel in the ground, anticipating a river to flow through it. This is what it means to “make room for God;” to “make a straight path for Him” as John proclaimed to believers going from the Old Testament to the New. They were in a transitional era which required fresh repentance and more room for God in their hearts and lives..so are we!! Don’t misunderstand – there will never be another covenant made. But God’s principles of how He ushers forth change in the earth stand strong!
